Katara is a reverse job board for software engineers, built by a small team that thinks applying for jobs is broken. We have just launched.

A note from the founder

Nobody should have to apply to a hundred jobs to find one good one. And no team should have to read a hundred applications to find one good engineer.

I started Katara because hiring had stopped feeling like a conversation between people. Engineers send CVs into a void. Teams post a role and drown in applicants. Everyone loses time, and nobody learns anything about the other side.

So we flipped it. On Katara an engineer writes one profile, once. Verified teams read it and reach out with the role, the salary range, and a real person's name attached. No bots, no matching algorithm, no black hole.

We are a small team and we have only just launched. If something is missing, tell us. We read every message, and most of what we build next comes from those conversations.
