The audit log is a record of who changed what in your team. It covers changes to candidates, members, team settings, single sign-on and imports. Use it to answer questions like who moved a candidate, who changed a member's role, or when a setting was switched on.
Who can see it
- Only the team owner and admins can open the audit log.
- Your team needs an active Teams subscription.
To open it, go to your team, click Team settings, then click Audit log under Candidate data.
What it records
Each entry shows When it happened, Who did it and What they did.
Candidates
- Added a candidate and Applied for a job
- Moved a candidate, with the stage they moved from and to
- Removed a candidate from a pipeline
- Erased a candidate's data
- Candidate withdrew their application
Members
- Added a member, Removed a member and Changed a member's role
Team settings
- Changed team settings, covering the team name, website, two-factor requirement and data retention periods, with old and new values
- Transferred ownership
- Requested verification, Verified the team and Removed the team's verification
Single sign-on
- Changed single sign-on, with the fields that changed
- Verified the SSO domain
For secrets such as the client secret or signing certificate, the log only notes that they were replaced. It never shows their values.
Imports
- Started an import, Finished an import and Undid an import, with the number of applications involved
When a candidate takes an action themselves, such as applying, the log shows Candidate as who did it. Changes Katara makes on its own show as Katara.
Erased candidates
When a candidate's data is erased, their name is removed from earlier log entries too. Those entries show Erased candidate instead.
Filter the log
Use the filters at the top of the page to narrow the list:
- Everyone, or one person, to see only their changes
- All actions, or one category: Candidates, Members, Team settings, Single sign-on or Imports
- From and To dates
Export the log
Click Export CSV to download the entries that match your current filters. The file includes the time, who did it, the action, what it applied to and the details.
How long entries are kept
The audit log keeps entries for two years. Older entries are removed automatically.
