Every application you send through Katara gets its own page. It shows where you are in the team's process, your interviews, any offer, and what to do next. You can open it from the link in your application email, even without a Katara account.
Opening an application
- From the email. After you apply, Katara sends a receipt with a link to your application page.
- From your dashboard. If the application is linked to your profile, it appears under Your applications with its current status. Click it to open the page.
What the page shows
At the top you see the company, the job title, your name and the job's location. A status badge sits beside the title, with a short line below it explaining what the status means. You also see the date you Applied and when the application was Last updated.
Depending on how far you have got, the page also shows:
- Book your interview, when the team wants you to pick a time. Click Choose a time to book a slot.
- Your offer, once the team sends one. Click View offer to read it and respond. See Responding to an offer.
- Interviews, split into Upcoming and Past. Upcoming interviews are marked Confirmed or Please confirm. Click View details to open the interview page.
- Your onboarding, once you are hired. It shows your start date and Things for you to do. Tick each task as you complete it.
Application statuses
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Received | The team has your application and will be in touch once they've looked at it. |
| Under review | The team is screening your application. |
| Interviewing | You're at the interview stage. Times you've booked are listed on the page. |
| Assessment | The team has asked for an assessment and will send the details by email. |
| Offer | The team is preparing an offer, or has sent you one. |
| Hired | Congratulations, you've been hired. |
| Not selected | The team has decided not to move forward this time. |
| Closed | The application is closed, or its details have been removed. |
The status follows the stage the team has moved you to in their pipeline, so it updates as soon as they move you.
Adding an application to your profile
If you applied without a Katara profile, the page offers to link the application to one. What you see depends on your situation:
- No account yet. Click Create my profile. Katara emails you a link to set your password.
- An account already uses your email. Click Sign in, then add the application once you're signed in.
- Signed in with a profile. Click Add to my profile.
Once linked, the page says "This application is on your Katara profile." and the application appears on your dashboard. You can then see your interviews and offers in one place.
Withdrawing an application
If you no longer want a company to consider you, you can withdraw and have your details deleted.
- Open the application page.
- Under Withdraw your application, click Withdraw and delete my details.
- Click Withdraw to confirm.
The company will no longer see your name, contact details, CV or answers. This can't be undone. You can't withdraw an application once you have been hired.
After you withdraw, the link shows "This application is no longer available".
