Setting up your careers page

Brand your public careers and employer pages with a logo, banner, colour and tagline, and share your jobs.

Every subscribed team on Katara gets public pages that list its open roles, and candidates can apply from them without an account. You control how they look from your team's Employer page settings.

Your public pages

Your team has two public pages:

  • Careers page at /careers/your-team. It lists your open roles, and each job has its own page with an application form.
  • Employer page at /employers/your-team. It shows your company profile, including your About text, alongside your open roles.

your-team is your team's short name in Katara. Both pages show jobs that are open and not set to Team only. A Team only job stays off the careers page, the job feed and job search, and nobody can apply to it publicly.

Is it included in my plan?

Branded public pages need an active team subscription. Without one, the Employer page settings show Branded employer profiles are a paid feature and an Upgrade to publish button.

If your plan ends, your careers and employer pages stay live for 14 days. After that they're paused and show Not hiring right now until you choose a plan again. Choosing a plan brings them back as they were.

Branding your pages

Only owners and admins can change the branding.

  1. Open Team settings and choose Employer page.
  2. Click Upload banner to add a wide header image.
  3. Click Upload logo to add your logo. Both accept JPG, PNG or WEBP files.
  4. Enter a Tagline. This is a short line shown under your company name.
  5. Write an About section telling candidates what your company does and why they should join.
  6. Enter a Brand colour as a hex code, for example #4F46E5. It's used as the banner accent.
  7. Click Save employer profile.

Once your page is live, click View public page to see it as candidates do.

What candidates see

The careers page header shows your banner, logo, "Careers at" your team name and your tagline. If you have no tagline, it shows a short line naming your team and industry. Your industry, address and website appear underneath when you've added them to your team profile.

Below that, open roles are grouped by department. Candidates can search roles by title, filter by department or location, and change the sort order.

Each job page has the job description, details about your company and an Apply button. See Application questions for what the form asks.

Sharing links to your jobs

You can find links to your public pages in several places in Katara:

  • Career page in a job's menu opens that job's public page.
  • Copy career link in a job card's menu copies the job's public link.
  • Careers page on your jobs list opens your employer page.
  • View public page on the Employer page settings opens your employer page.

The job links only appear when your team is subscribed, the job is open and it isn't Team only.

Listing your jobs on job boards

Under Distribute your jobs on the Employer page settings, you'll find your Job feed URL. Click Copy and submit it as a job feed in Indeed's or ZipRecruiter's employer dashboard. Google for Jobs picks up your listings automatically once they're indexed.
